The Social Club's fall happy hour and the Dads Club's casino night, combined into a single evening so the calendar stays sane and the party gets bigger.
All Compass families and faculty are welcome. Bring your spouse, bring a date, bring the parent you always end up talking to at pickup. Adults only.
Dress like you might win big. Jackets encouraged, not required. A theme may be announced closer to the date.
Professional dealers run every table and will happily teach you the game. Everyone starts with the same stack of chips, and every chip you're holding at the end becomes a raffle entry for prizes.
The classic. Get to 21 without going over. Easiest table to learn in five minutes.
The loudest table in the room. Roll the dice, cheer for strangers, learn what "hard eight" means.
Pick a number, a color, or a hunch. Then watch the wheel and hold your breath.
Texas Hold 'em, naturally. Friendly stakes, serious faces, and one dealer who's seen it all.
Food stations and passed bites from the Golightly kitchen plus a dedicated bar for the evening. Included with your ticket.
Turn your chips into raffle tickets at the end of the night. Drawings for prizes around 9:15. You must be present to win, which is the point.
Three hours, every grade, no name tags required. The tables give you something to do with your hands and an easy excuse to say hello.
Give your name at the door, pick up your starting chips, and head for the bar. Doors at 6:30, tables open at 7:00.
Move between tables as you like. Dealers teach as they go. Lose it all? Chips are play money; ask a host about a friendly top-up.
At 9:00, trade your chips for raffle tickets. The bigger your stack, the more entries you get. Drawings follow.
This is a ticketed event, and tickets cover the venue, food, drinks, dealers, and prizes. Presale pricing is the best deal you'll get all night.

Ask about sponsoringNo. Everyone gets the same stack of play chips with their ticket, and there's no cash on the tables. Chips convert to raffle entries at the end of the night. The dealers are professionals, the games are real, the money isn't.
Everyone will. That's most of the fun. The dealers are there to teach and will walk you through any game. Blackjack and roulette take about two minutes to pick up.
This one's adults only, 21 and up. Consider it the one night the Social Club and Dads Club are officially telling you to get a sitter.

Hotel Swexan offers valet on McKinnon Street, and there's street and garage parking nearby in Harwood. Rideshare is a great call for this one.
Presale tickets are refundable through October 15. After that we've committed final counts to the venue and can't refund, but you're welcome to transfer your ticket to another Compass parent. Just email Charlie with the new name.
The Compass Social Club and the Compass Dads Club, together, with the support of the Parents Association. Ticket revenue covers the venue, food, drinks, dealers, and prizes. Anything left over goes back to supporting Compass parent programs.
